Project Overview
In collaboration with Cambridge University Press, the project focused on a comprehensive redesign of their website and the creation of a robust design system. The objective was to streamline navigation, and ensure visual consistency across various sections. The design system, a cornerstone of the project, was meticulously developed to encompass four distinct areas, each with its own unique style requirements. This necessitated a careful balancing act to maintain individual identities while achieving a cohesive overall aesthetic. The final deliverables included an intuitive, user-friendly website and a versatile design system that provides a foundation for future updates and scalability.
Reflection
Working on the Cambridge University Press project was an enriching experience that challenged my skills in both UX/UI design and systematic thinking. The complexity of creating a design system that harmonizes four distinct areas while preserving their unique identities taught me the importance of adaptability and precision in design. Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their diverse needs and translating those into a unified digital presence was particularly rewarding. This project not only refined my technical abilities but also enhanced my problem-solving skills and understanding of large-scale design operations, reinforcing the significance of coherence and flexibility in effective design solutions.4o
